Meanwhile, Hogatha's search for a gurgling baby brings her to a nest where she sees a lone baby bird nesting, but when she goes to grab the baby bird, its mother soon comes and pecks angrily at the witchy intruder, causing her to fall.

Her pet vulture barely manages to come to his mistress' rescue. Later on in the forest, Hogatha spots a bear cub all by itself, but as she gets close to it, she finds herself being chased by the cub's mother, and again Hogatha's pet vulture comes to her rescue.

Brainy, Greedy, and Handy take Baby out for a walk in the forest to test out Handy's new strollomatic baby stroller, with Smoogle accompanying them. They soon reach a fork in the path, and the three Smurfs argue with each other over which path they should choose to take Baby on. However, in the middle of their arguing, Baby's stroller goes off by itself down one of the paths, and Smoogle tries to alert the three arguing Smurfs about it, but Brainy tells Smoogle that they're rather busy.

So Smoogle chooses to take action himself, by suddenly rolling himself into a ball and catching up with Baby's stroller, activating the brakes before both Baby and stroller go off a cliff. Unfortunately, Hogatha shows up at that moment to snatch up Baby from his stroller and to send Smoogle plummeting back down into the forest, where he and the stroller land upon the three squabbling Smurfs. Handy notices something has happened to the stroller, and all three of them notice that Baby is no longer in the stroller.
